Accessibility

Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA and how to report barriers.

Our commitment

Ramchirs targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. A mental-health screening tool that excludes people is not a help tool. Accessibility is treated as a launch requirement, not an enhancement.

What is built in

  • Keyboard-first questionnaires. Every question is answerable with number keys, Enter, arrows, and Backspace; focus is managed on every screen change; the entire site is operable without a pointer.
  • Screen-reader support. Semantic landmarks, labeled controls, progress announced politely, charts paired with tabular equivalents, live regions for dynamic content.
  • Reduced motion. All animation respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting; motion is decorative, never informational.
  • Readable typography. Georgian-capable typefaces (Noto Serif Georgian / Noto Sans Georgian), generous line height, text that scales to 200% without loss, color contrast at AA (target AAA for body text).
  • Dark and light modes. Both meet contrast requirements; the theme follows your system and your explicit choice.
  • Plain language. Reading level targeted at general adult audiences; clinical terms are defined at first use.
  • No time pressure. Nothing on the site times out mid-questionnaire; sessions persist and resume.

Known limitations

Accessibility is a continuous practice. Charts currently pair with screen-reader tables; audio narration of questionnaires is on the roadmap. PDF reports follow the web typography standards. We audit with automated tooling (axe) and manual keyboard/screen-reader passes each release.
